After Krypton, Russell Crowe Will Board The Ark In Darren Aronofsky Epic

Movies of biblical proportions (and sources) seems like getting in these days. First, Ridley Scott is reportedly helming “Exodus”, a film based on the story of Moses with Christian Bale on the role. And just recently, the trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s epic, “Noah” has been released.

Fresh from his blockbuster stint with “Man of Steel” as Jor-El, Superman’s biological father, New Zealand actor Russell Crowe is now doing the saving this time on the role of Noah, builder of the legendary ark during the Great Deluge.

The two and half minute trailer details how Noah, receiving visions from God about the world’s destruction, built an ark to save himself, his family, and every pair of animals on Earth. Things seem to get worse when the world’s oldest man, Odin, eehr we mean Methuselah, played by another actor extraordinaire, Anthony Hopkins, comes in their way.

The grittier, darker, and far crueler detailing of the world’s first biblical destruction is a fresh and original take on the thousand year old story of Noah. It is set to release March 28, 2014.
