This morning Britney Spears debuted her new single “Ooh La La” from the “Smurfs 2” soundtrack, and Britney is thrilled to have some fresh material on the airwaves.

During her phone interview with Ryan Seacrest, Britney Spears explained, “It’s straight-up pop. It has a young feel to it. But the main reason why I did it was because of my boys.”

Britney continued, “They're obsessed with the Smurfs. We've seen The Smurfs movie a million trillion times, and they were told they could be in the video and all this cool stuff, so that's the reason why I did it."

As for the meaning behind the title, Spears shared, "I think it doesn't really certainly mean a certain phrase or anything, but it's about feeling good. Like you make me feel like 'ooh la la,' like when a guy makes you giddy…it's more of a feeling."

With regard to her new album, Britney noted that she worked with Black Eyed Peas mastermind will.i.am. "Will has a lot of really interesting different tracks that I've listened to that are really cool that I haven't actually written on yet, but there's a lot of guitar and I think people will be surprised with this album. It's going to be really different."
