The Unix Systems Administrator Role
Imagine Software, a leading provider of online trading and risk management solutions for the financial services industry is seeking an experienced Unix Systems Administrator. Duties include helping us design and administer our state of the art high availability infrastructure.
Requirements:
Strong Unix/Networking troubleshooting ability
Self-starter/independent, but able to work well in a team
Able to handle a diverse range of tasks in a busy and challenging environment including a 24 hour international trading floor, DR site, multiple development and testing environments and satellite offices.
Familiarity with financial industry / FIX feeds / Reuters a plus
Scripting/Programming
Bash/Shell, Perl, python, C, etc
Administration/Installation/Monitoring Scripting
Distributed build environment troubleshooting a plus
Networking/Monitoring/Troubleshooting
Cisco ios
Big brother / sysmon, etc
Ability to interface with other teams and clients to resolve networking problems
Unix
Linux( RedHat Enterprise )
Jumpstart/Kickstart
Windows
Active Directory
Windows Desktop and Server Administration
Storage
SAN / NAS familiarity
