Gay Marriage - A Very Delicate Matter

It's very hard to take a position when it comes to gay marriage. On the one hand the issue has been considered as a religious taboo and on the other is the oppression of people's rights. Even those who are not hard core religious does shriek about it a little bit. Personally I want to stay neutral on the matter as I support democracy for the majority of my preferences in life.

Earlier today Sandy Steer and Chris Perry exchanged their wedding vows at the San Francisco City Hall. Some of the onlookers were amused at the site of two women kissing each other on the lips in an erotic manner. It should be noted that empires and civilizations did not perish because of gays or gay marriage for that matter and so we can never be in the position to judge people.

Still it also raises a couple of issues especially in child rearing. I mean what are we gonna tell them or teach about marriage and sexuality and how do we impart justice, freedom and democracy to them while avoiding getting the child confused amidst the myriad of social happenings? It's kinda hard to get around that corner and some people prefer that gays and lesbians should have a separate community where their morals will not influence the morals of those who are deeply religious as often trouble seems to start from such conflicting views in life. I would support the idea of community segregation over imposing laws that are against people who are not traditionally accepted in society.
