Italian Sausage and Tortellini Skillet Dinner

Description

Have this quick and easy dinner ready in less than 30 minutes. Serve with a veggie and a salad.

Ingredients

2 T. olive oil
1 lb. ground Italian sausage, crumbled
1 c. Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. grated Parmesan
24 oz. package fresh cheese tortellini
24 oz. spaghetti sauce
1/2 c. water
1 t. Italian seasoning

Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet then add the crumbled sausage; cook until no longer pink.

Stir in spaghetti sauce, water, Italian seasoning, and tortellini.

Bring mixture to a boil, turn heat down to low, cover and simmer for about 8 minutes or until tortellini is tender. While pasta is cooking, turn broiler on to low (optional).

Remove skillet from heat. Sprinkle Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over tortellini.

Place skillet under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted. Or, you could put the lid back on the skillet and let the heat from the pasta melt the cheese.
