You gotta love his number 1 hit "Never Gonna Give You Up" that flew off the charts back in the 1980s. Now; however, it seems that Rick Astley is garnering a huge internet-based fan support and he's becoming a new "funny" hit on YouTube also. It's not surprising really, I mean with his weirdo "Archie" comic book hairdo, black jacket and khaki pants and stripe t-shirt getup, silly dancing and big soulful voice - he's instantly a household name.

Astley retired more than 20 years ago back in 1993 but as a child growing up in the 1980s, I really gotta admit his song was pretty cool even when Metallica, Michael Bolton and Bon Jovi were the favorite of the masses. Now we have Britney Spears, Justin Beiber and a laundry list of new generation music artist who are gonna get the worst attention for being the most hilarious entertainers of their time - even if they didn't started out as comedians. I mean the way Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga dress up, man oh man they already had it coming and 20 years from now they're gonna be the laughing stock of that generation. Well at least Rick didn't turn out so bad.
