Hilarious but not overly shallow. Isn't that typical Sophie Kinsella style? Yes, she's the one who wrote "Confessions of a Shopaholic" for those who are curious.
I think that Sophie Kinsella's way of writing has greatly improved in this book. I've read her first Shopaholic book and found it too dragging. "Remember me?" was something I enjoyed too but the story's progress felt too slow for me.
This actually managed to be different but at the same time, keeping Ms. Kinsella's style of writing.
It has all the elements that make it an awesome chick-lit book:
It's funny.
light and easy to understand.
Expresses what modern women think (in this case MARRIAGE).
Romance is present but isn't the only thing the story revolves on.
And can move girls (and dare I say boys?) to empathize with the character's emotions.
All in all, a very good book to read. :D
