There are some names I will carry with me for the rest of my life. We wore the same uniform, stood in the same dust, shared the same fear, and still found ways to laugh in the middle of chaos. Those men were not just soldiers to me… they were my brothers.
War changes you. One day you’re joking together about going home, about seeing family again, about the future. The next day you’re standing there wishing you could hear their voice one more time. Losing friends in this uniform is a pain that never leaves, it just becomes part of who you are.
I keep serving not just for my country, but for them. For the memories we shared, for the promises we made, and for the lives they never got to finish living. Their courage reminds me every day why we stand, why we fight, and why we never give up.
