It's official! After months of speculations, Disney has officially chosen Chloe Grace Moretz (Carrie, If I Stay, Kick-Ass) as the newest star to bring a beloved Disney character to life on the big screen.

Disney has been on a quest to make adaptations of its beloved classic tales such as Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty (Maleficent) and Cinderella. All three adaptations were highly successful in the box-office and brought life back to the House of Mouse. New titles have been released for future projects and one of them is the tale of "The Little Mermaid" based on the Hans Christian Anderson story.

Moretz has proven herself to be an extremely versatile actress with at least 50 movies in her resume (which kinda makes her a veteran already). Other cast members have not been introduced but we can't wait for the film to come out already!
