About Me

For starters, I am new to the Northwest. I’ve just relocated here in September for an amazing job in the Semiconductor industry. So far, I’ve had a great experience here. In terms of education, I’ve just completed my Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan. So it’s fair to say that I am a fan of the “Work Hard, Play Hard” mentality. Go Blue!

In general, I am looking to meet new people, make some new friends, and experience what the West Coast has to offer. If it turns into something serious, that’s great. Just keep in mind, I don’t have the highest confidence in online dating. I challenge you to prove me wrong.

First Date

My vision of a first meet up would be coffee or a nice pub with live music. I’ve been on this kick lately trying a new restaurant every weekend or so. Who knew that Portland was so big on food?? Another kick of mine lately has been micro-brewed beer. I developed a taste for this during my college days in Michigan. Again Portland, I must say, I am quite impressed. In general, someplace neutral and not too loud would be ideal. What’s a date if we can’t talk? Yes, that means movies are out of the question (at least initially).
