About Me

I like all types of music, and I usually prefer to see jazz live. Besides Spanish, I can communicate a bit in American Sign Language, which I learned during my engineering Ph.D. I've tried sky diving and bungee jumping, and I'll try pretty much anything once. I've eaten raw fish entrails in Japan but think I'll pass on second helpings. When I feel like permanently damaging my hearing you'll find me dancing at Kells in North Beach. On more mellow evenings, you'll find me ballroom dancing in Palo Alto. I head to San Francisco regularly to enjoy the endless selection of restaurants, clubs and performing arts. I play tennis on Wednesday mornings and league softball on Wednesday nights. I swam competitively through college. Sometimes in the evening I'll pull out my Gibson Les Paul '59 Reissue guitar and hack out a song that sympathetic friends say they recognize as Sweet Home Alabama. I'm schizophrenic on the ski slopes: the first day I'll ski moguls and the next day I'll snow board. I don't care what the movie "Sideways" touted, I'll drink Merlot over Pinot any day; although, I prefer Cab, and I've been known to throw in a Shiraz or Red Zin occasionally just to mix it up. I got a cool tattoo on my arm last time I went to Cabo...but it washed off in the shower.

I'm looking for someone who's beautiful inside and out; someone who's intelligent and educated, with varied interests and talents; someone with a sense of humor and who likes to laugh; someone who's fun and adventurous, yet has a serious, sophisticated side; someone who feels as comfortable wearing jeans as she does wearing an evening gown; someone who likes pizza and also 5-star dining; someone who's independent with strong character, yet yearns for romance and likes to cuddle and be pampered.
