About Me

My story has yet to be written, but I have drafted a lot of notes. I currently have writer's block and I'm not looking for a ghost writer, but rather a ghost of a chance to find that perfect partner! There must be a spark - that unexplainable draw to each other that opens the door or floodgate to everything else. I have depth, honesty and substance. Admittedly, I'm a little suspect of online dating, but I can't discount the possibility of finding that one special someone in the place I least expected. I'm typically an atypical guy, which means I don't exaggerate what I bring to the table. I hope to find my match who can complement my attributes by bringing the same! Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of drop-down choices when the pre-populated choices don't capture my answer. I have an adult daughter and don't want to father any additional children, but I would not hesitate to be with someone who has children.

First Date

The best date is one you can't script. They say the "longer the description, the more likely it is you will get responses." I get that I'm up against a billion other "dudes," some or most are lifers or serial daters on sites like this and I'm sure it has you jaded or suspect. Equally concerned, I'm sure there are many women and maybe some that are reading this now, who have just gone out on yet another date only to find themselves looking to see if there's something better. Let me spare us both the exhaustion - I'm not a gazillionaire, I won't dazzle you with tall tales of wonderment or make promises of grandeur that neither I nor anyone else can backup. But what I can guarantee is that I am consistently genuine. Attraction and chemistry are things you can't fake or force. We all have our types, likes and lists of non-negotiables. No worries if we don't possess what the other has on their grocery list, but I won't oversell myself and what you see is what you'll always get.
