The love for the People's Princess has already withstood 16 years and time and time again, the world shows how much they really love and miss Diana, Princess of Wales.

This time, another auction in her honor was made through a gown that she wore.

"Made of white tulle and satin and embellished with a dazzle of gold sequins, rhinestones, and pearl beads, the dress comes with a few awesomely '80s accessories, including matching puffy headband and detachable arm bands. The ensemble was made by then husband-and-wife design duo David and Elizabeth Emanuel (who also created her iconic wedding gown), and Elizabeth Emanuel herself admitted to the auction house that the lavish dress is “the kind of thing you either love or hate.” - Yahoo! Clearly, Diana fell in love with this white artwork, because she wore it not once, but more than three times! She didn't even wait to have her own version of the gown and just simply bought the one on the runway. She wore it twice in the same month - a shocker because Diana was not known to recycle her outfits. In true Diana fashion, she managed to make each gown look different with a well-placed accessory or gloves here and there.

An unknown museum bought the gown for $167,000. The gown was estimated to sell between $80,000 and $130,000 at auctioneer Kerry Taylor's biannual Passion for Fashion auction in London on Tuesday, but it has well exceeded expectations.
