Elon Musk once said:

“If you do something like read a lot of books and talk to a lot of people, you can learn almost anything.”

That wasn’t a motivational quote. It was a strategy.

When he started SpaceX in 2002, he didn’t have a background in aerospace engineering. So he read textbooks like Rocket Propulsion Elements. He spoke to experts. He asked NASA engineers questions. He reverse-engineered the problem from first principles.

The wording of the quote became popular around 2016, but the philosophy goes back much earlier.

Self-education.
Curiosity without ego.
Relentless questioning.

In an age where information is infinite, the real edge may not be talent. It may be the willingness to study deeply and ask better questions than everyone else.

If you had unlimited curiosity for one year, what skill would you teach yourself?
