The world was immediately smitten with this wedding gown that American actress Grace Kelly wore when she wed Monaco's Prince Rainier in 1956. The gown, which featured 90 yards of tulle, 25 yards of silk taffeta, antique rose-point lace, and pearls was made by MGM costume designer Helen Rose and took six weeks to be made by three dozen seamstresses. This was eventually presented as a gift to Grace Kelly for her nuptials. It has been said that the gown may have served as an inspiration for Kate Middleton's wedding gown. We see the resemblance.
