Good Friday - "The Crucifixion" (B)

John 19:30 – “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

Comment:
“It is finished!”—the greatest declaration in history. The debt is paid, redemption complete. The vipers thought they had won.

Today, rest in the finished work of the cross. No more striving. As we celebrate Easter, live in the freedom of “It is finished.” The tomb could not hold the One who finished salvation. Rejoice—the work is done!

Prayer Points:
Lord, thank You that “It is finished”—I rest in Your completed work.

Father, help me live in the freedom of the finished cross.
