Good Friday - "The Crucifixion" (D)

Matthew 27:46 – “And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

Comment:
The cry of forsakenness—Jesus took our separation so we never would be forsaken. Darkness covered the land, yet light was coming.

Today, in your darkest moments, remember He was forsaken for you. The empty tomb proves the Father did not abandon Him forever. Hope rises!

Prayer Points:
Lord, thank You for enduring forsakenness so I never am alone.

Father, comfort me with the assurance of Your presence.
