Growing up, I watched how my father handled people and related with them. I followed his steps because I believed those were the right ways to treat people. But when I started showing those same qualities to others, they didn’t value or understand them. Instead, some of them hated me for behaving that way.
At some point, I even started questioning myself and wondering if I was doing something wrong simply because people weren’t responding positively. I didn’t realize that sometimes, you can be doing the right thing and still be misunderstood by the people around you.
