Taking a break from his superhero schedule, Hugh Jackman took his daughter Ava to school in New York City this morning (June 6).

The “Les Miserables” hunk looked sporty in a navy Adidas jacket with light blue shorts and a blue ball cap as he walked his dog and kept a watchful eye on his scooter-riding girl.

In a recent interview, Hugh discussed his upcoming flick “The Wolverine,” and promised it will be better than 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”

“I had something to prove, and we could have done better. Somehow the first Wolverine movie ended up looking like the fourth X-Men - just with different characters. I left unsure if we'd achieved our goal, which was to make sure people understood my character. So... Fingers crossed that we've done it this time. I'm pretty confident we have.”
