“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Scores (At Least) Two More Years

He’s one of the funniest guys on television so it’s no wonder Jimmy Kimmel just signed a two-year contract extension with the ABC Network.

The 46-year-old comedian will maintain his current job through January 2017 though he’s facing an uphill battle against both Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show” and soon-to-be “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert.

Kimmel has been on ABC’s late night lineup since January 2003, though it wasn’t until 2012 that he moved to his 11:35 pm slot.

And despite the various transitions in his competing programs, Jimmy is up an impressive 16 percent this season in total viewers.
