Decades after Mattel created the first Barbie doll, many women still crave the anatomically impossible body proportions of Barbie. Who wouldn't want that ultra-small waist and those gorgeous long legs?
Nickolay Lamm, a well-known illustrator gives us a glimpse as to what it really takes to have Barbie's body.
An average woman's proportions are: 64.29" in height, a 33.62" waist, 14.09" upper arm length, 14.45" upper leg length, 20" head circumference, and a 15" neck circumference. For her to have Barbie's proportions, she must be two feet taller. She also has to extend her neck length by 3.2. Her bust line must increase by 5 inches and her waist circumference must be 6 inches smaller.
