marscope Rescue in Action: From Training to Real Emergency In the middle of a routine exercise, the RS Fjällbacka crew received an urgent call from the Maritime and Air Rescue Center: A motorboat with two people on board was drifting toward the cliffs, about five nautical miles south of their location. Without hesitation, the crew suspended their training and headed toward the scene. Just 15 minutes later, they reached the distressed boat, which was now being battered against the rocks in rough seas. Despite the challenging conditions, the sea rescuers remained calm and methodical. They managed to get a line across and pull the motorboat into safer waters. Once secured, they checked for damage - the hull had taken a hit but was not taking on water. With towing lines reattached, the journey back to the harbor began through high waves and strong winds.
