The famed violin of Titanic's bandmaster sold for £900,000 ($1.45 million, 1.06 million euros) on Saturday during the auction at Henry Aldridge & Son auction house in Wiltshire, southern England. It is now the most expensive violin in the world. The instrument was reportedly found strapped to the body of Wallace Hartley after he drowned along with 1,500 others in the disaster in 1912, more than a hundred years ago.
