Now here's something that I have anticipated for decades! A new Godzilla movie that's closer to the source material than the one Roland Emmerich made back in 1998. I think I want to see Godzilla fight other monsters this time around besides giving the world's military a very hard time (so to speak), because he actually became Earth's unlikely hero in some of the Japanese films that he appeared in.

I think Gareth Edwards is also a great director for this film genre' as he has already been critically praised for his work called "In the Shadow of the Moon" which was a 2007 documentary about the surviving astronauts of the Apollo missions back in the Cold War days. While Edwards is fairly new in the movie industry he has a lot to show for and given the budget which is over a hundred million dollars by my estimates he might just pull this off and give us a Godzilla movie that we all deserve.
