We say goodbye to the oldest Nile hippopotamus in North America, Blackie the hippopotamus, after it died on Monday (Jan 13) after some complications due to old age. He died at the ripe old age of 59 which is amazing since most hippos only live up to 30-40 years. He might have been the oldest hippo ever recorded.
