Description
This is a great, yummy dessert for summer with the brownies, ice cream and toffee. Everyone will ask you for this recipe!
Ingredients
- Brownies:
- 1 cu. (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 cu. sugar
- 1 1/4 cu. Dutch-process cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tbl. vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cu. all purpose flour
- 1 cu. chocolate chips
- Ice Cream Layer:
- 1.5 quart of vanilla ice cream, softened
- 2 cu. chopped Heath candy bars, divided
- Salted Caramel Sauce, for serving, if desired
Steps
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9″ x 13″ pan and set aside.
- 2. In a medium saucepan set over low heat, melt the butter, then add the sugar and stir to combine. Return the mixture to the heat, just until it’s hot, but not bubbling. The mixture will become shiny looking as you stir it.
- 3. Transfer the sugar mixture to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Stir in the cocoa, baking powder, salt, and vanilla. Whisk in the eggs, stirring until smooth.
