Everyone knows that dark chocolate is good for you, so why not make a fudge with dark chocolate? Almonds are good for you too, so does this make this fudge a healthy treat? Well, maybe not, but it certainly tastes rich and creamy and is so easy because it
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
12 oz. dark chocolate chips
1/4 c. butter
1 t. almond extract
1/2 c. sliced almonds, plus 1-2 T. more for topping
Combine milk, chocolate and butter in a medium sized glass bowl and heat in the microwave for 90 seconds. Stir to combine and heat another 15 seconds if needed. Stir until smooth. Stir in the extract and almonds.
Pour into a well-greased or parchment lined 8 inch pan. Chill until ready to serve.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
