This is it! If you need an easy to prepare and delicious dessert for the holidays, try this Chocolate Chip Cookie Delight.
16 1/2 oz. tube refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
12 oz. carton frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
3 c. cold 2% milk
3.9 oz. package instant chocolate pudding mix
3.4 oz. package instant vanilla pudding mix
Optional: chopped nuts, chocolate curls and miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Let cookie dough stand at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften.
Press dough into an un-greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.* Bake for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1 3/4 c. whipped topping; spread over crust.
In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes**; spread over cream cheese layer; top with remaining whipped topping. Sprinkle on nuts and chocolate curls, if desired.
Cover; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight until firm.
15 servings.
*Line pan with foil large enough to overhang over the ends for easy removal and cutting.
**Please beat or whisk pudding for a full 2 minutes to thicken it. A hand mixer on medium speed is a good choice, but hand whisking and a little elbow grease will work.
