So Easy Ice Cream Cake

Description

This is the perfect easy dessert to serve for July 4th, summer pool parties or gatherings. It can be tailored to the size that you need just by using more of the ingredients.

Ingredients

12 ice cream sandwiches
chocolate syrup or Magic Shell (or both)
caramel syrup
8 oz. Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream

Quickly remove wrappers from ice cream sandwiches because the ice cream will melt fast. Place 3 ice cream sandwiches down side by side on a cake platter. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and caramel.

Lay another layer of 3 ice cream sandwiches on top going in the opposite direction.
Drizzle with more chocolate syrup and caramel. Repeat 2 more times until it's 4 layers high.

If ice cream starts to melt, place in the freezer for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Spread the Cool Whip on top and sides, then drizzle on the chocolate syrup and caramel, allowing them to drip down the sides.

Freeze for at least 2 hours before cutting and serving.

12-15 servings.

*Make sure to clear a flat spot in your freezer BEFORE assembly!

Mix in crushed Oreo cookies with the Cool Whip to make it a cookies and cream cake, add colored icing in between the layers for a particular holiday or add colored sprinkles, if desired.
