Reese Witherspoon stepped out for a screening of her new film "Mud" last night.

The "Legally Blonde" star got glammed up for the Big Apple event in a sexy black dress as she tried to put her troubles aside.

In regards to her legal woes, Miss Witherspoon was pulled over with her husband Jim Toth after her was suspected of driving intoxicated in Atlanta, GA early Friday morning (April 19).

When news hit the airwaves, Reese released a statement via her rep, which read, "Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said."

"It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior," she continues.

Jim currently faces DUI charges after he was pulled over for driving in the wrong lane. According to a police report obtained by Variety, Reese exited the car when her husband was arrested and after a confrontation with police asked, "Do you know my name?"

The officer answered, "No, I don't need to know your name." then added, "right now," to which she responded, "You’re about to find out who I am."

A court appearance is currently pending.
