Ryan Gosling was looking like a book worm as he left his New York City hotel on Wednesday with glasses on and the book “El Topo” by Alejandro Jodorowsky in his hand.

Ryan has announced that he will be taking a break from acting. “I’ve been doing it too much. I’ve lost perspective on what I’m doing,” Ryan told the Associated Press. “I think it’s good for me to take a break and reassess why I’m doing it and how I’m doing it..and I think this is probably a good way to learn about that.”

Ryan also said, “I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does.”
