We can't think of anything more annoying for a single person than to find himself bombarded with news about the happy relationships of his/her friends.

Adam Malone, a software developer, decided to do something cheeky instead. He asked someone to take engagement pictures of him and his beloved...ladder!

"I've known the ladder for quite some time," Malone told GoodMorningAmerica.com. "We used to work together in my friend's painting business and we always had a lot of fun with the other painting equipment."
"I just wanted to share the magical thing that the ladder and I had together," Malone said, without cracking his façade.

Perhaps the best comment he got after posting this picture was from a friend who said: "This is either really sad or really…awesome," he wrote. "I think it's the ladder."
