It's the fiercest battle on the ice as 15-year-old Russian darling, Julia Lipnitskaia and the Olympic gold defender, Ice Queen, Yuna Kim, are being considered as the two top contenders for the Olympic gold medal.
Yuna Kim of South Korea is the current title holder in the women's figure skating competition, while Julia has gathered the adoration and admiration of fans around the world after her jaw-dropping performance in the women's team figure skating - which earned her her first gold medal in the Winter Olympics.
If Yuna would win again, she would be one of the ladies who won back-to-back Olympic figure skating golds, joining Katarina Witt and Sonja Henie. While Julia would become the one of the youngest figure skater champion in history.
Julia has expressed her interest in battling the so-called "Queen of the Ice", but Yuna has expressed disinterest in that area. She said that she is no longer after medals, but just wants to enjoy her second and last Olympic game (as she would be retiring afterwards).
Don't forget other strong contenders like Mao Asada, Carolina Kostner and Gracie Gold.
