THE OLD MAN AND THE SMALL LANTERN

One night, a young traveler was walking along a long dark road.

The night was cold, and the path ahead was completely covered in darkness.

As he stood there wondering how he would continue his journey, he saw an old man walking slowly toward him.

The old man was carrying a very small lantern.

The traveler looked at the lantern and laughed.

“How can that tiny light help you on such a long dark road?” he asked.

The old man smiled calmly and replied,“My son, this lantern only shows me a few steps ahead… but that is enough.”

Curious, the traveler decided to walk beside him.

Step by step, the small lantern lit the path in front of them.

Not the whole road… just the next few steps.

But those few steps kept leading them forward.

Hours later, they finally reached the end of the road.

The traveler then understood the lesson.

In life, you don’t always need to see the whole journey.

Sometimes, all you need is enough light for the next step.
