Weird Food: Casu Marzu

We know what you're thinking, what could possibly be wrong with cheese right?

A lot of things. Especially if it's infested with maggots! But that's exactly what Casu Marzu, an Italian cheese that's actually severely rotten and infested with maggots. They allow cheese flies to lay eggs in the cheese and let the maggots chew their way and break down the fats and makes it into something really really soft.

You can eat it with maggots and all or you can kill the maggots before eating them (seal the cheese in an airtight bag and wait for all the maggots to launch to their deaths as oxygen drops).
