We just can't seem to get our heads right in this matter. Who would honestly name their child North? Although for the new parents Kim and Kanye, they seem to have a perfectly good reason to do so.

Apparently, the child's nickname would be "Nori". If that isn't weird enough, it comes from the middle names of Kim and Kanye. Kim Noel Kardashian + Kanye Omari West = Noel + Omari = NORI.

Sound justifiable but still bizarre on so many levels. Name experts say that although direction names (East, West, South, North) are uncommon, to name a GIRL rather than a boy NORTH is even more peculiar since the name is usually given to the male gender.

We can only hope that this has some sort of real significance to the parents and not just some publicity stunt to gain attention.
