The newer and cheaper iPhone should be introduced to the public sometime this year. One way of cutting cost and passing along the savings to the consumer is that the iPhone case will be made out of polycarbonate plastic. Many other parts of the phone may remain the same but may also be recycled parts from older iPhone models. If this really happens, it could introduce the iPhone to a market that hasn't yet been able to afford one at the current price.
