Carey Mulligan just finished up a crazy promotional tour for her new flick “The Great Gatsby,” and Carey Mulligan showed up at the Nice, France airport this morning (May 14).

Carey Mulligan looked a bit frantic as she exited the terminal, en route to the Cannes International Film Festival.

As for her “Gatsby” character Daisy Buchanan, Carey told press, “I’ve never aspired to play a character that was beautiful. I’ve never played a character that had to be very pretty before! The costumes were beautiful.”

”Like, in the first scene, I’m wearing a ball gown. In the book, I think it’s just described as a white dress but they thought it’d be fun for Daisy to wear a ball gown for no reason, in the middle of the day – just because she can. I was wearing millions of dollars’ worth of diamonds. I’ve never worn anything that expensive before.”
