Combat Veterans!

Saturday night I was honored to attend The Armed Forces Day Gala Event. My good friend Chairman of Combat Veterans for Congress Joe Johns and his team did an amazing job of putting the event on this year. I was able to see so many of my Marine brothers and also met some Marine brothers for the first time. I was able to once again be in the midst of many Marine heroes.

Saturday night Joe also retired as the chairman. For the last 16 years Joe has done a phenomenal job as the chairman. I personally know this because he supported me in all of my congressional campaigns. Joe will be missed, but his retirement is well deserved.

Let’s continue to work to put more combat veterans in the U. S. Congress.
