Did General Zod Go On Joker-mode In “Man of Steel”?

The fifth (and probably final) trailer of the highly anticipated Superman reboot “Man of Steel” is released a few days ago. And like the previous promos that give us a sliver of idea about the film’s story, the new trailer, titled “Fate of Your Planet” gives us a peek of General Zod’s modus operandi in the movie.

The trailer follows through a viral video released months ago featuring the movie’s villain asking Superman to surrender himself or “watch this world suffer the consequences”, kind of already reminds us of Joker from “The Dark Knight” asking Gotham to surrender Batman or “people will die”, a promise he followed through.

In the new trailer, this threat is further reinforced by Fiora, Zod’s female ally, saying (to Superman) “You will not win. For every human you save, we will kill a million more,” and followed by montages of Clark/Superman with screaming in desperation as if he failed to save someone (and probably died).

It seems General Zod and his army went on a killing spree unless the Man of Steel turn himself in, very much like Joker who went on scaring and murdering the people of Gotham until Batman hands himself over (he didn’t). If that’s the case, we’ve got a good movie ahead.

The movie will be released on June 14 and distributed by Warner Bros.
