Google Apologizes for Mapping Mistake

In one of the most painful way to commit a mistake, Google has managed to offend an entire country by bringing the past back. Google mistakenly placed the wrong name on a popular spot in Berlin - this was spotted by keen users of Google Maps. Instead of the actual name Theodor-Heuss-Platz, the street was named Adolf Hitler Platz. This is its original name years ago which was dedicated to one of the most villainous leader ever - the Nazi Adolf Hitler. This is quite a touchy subject because of the World War II incident. Google has admitted its mistake and released a statement:

“We were made aware of a wrong and inappropriate Berlin street name on Google Maps and have corrected this as quickly as possible,” the Internet search giant said in an email that was sent to NBC News. “We apologize for this error.”
