Instagram Releases Stats For First Time

Instagram says it has 90M active users, 40M photos per day, 8500 likes per second. These numbers were released after reporters and critics had said that their usage was on a decline since December 2012. One thing absent from the numbers is a daily active user count. It’s likely the service doesn’t want to release that number because it could give credibility to those who previously tracked Instagram’s day-to-day decline.
