Description

Get the distinctive taste of Key Lime Pie from Florida with this delicious cake. It makes a great snack, dessert or even breakfast coffee cake.

Ingredients

• 18.25 oz. Box Betty Crocker® Supermoist® Vanilla Cake Mix, reserving 1 c. for topping
• 1/2 c. butter, melted
• 1 egg
• Filling:
• 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
• 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated)
• 3/4 c. Key Lime Juice
• 2 eggs, beaten
• Topping:
• reserved 1 c. cake mix
• 1 c. chopped pecans, walnuts or combination of both
• 3 T. butter, softened
• powdered sugar, for garnish
• Cool Whip, optional
• lime zest, optional

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13 x 9 inch pan with cooking spray.
2. In small bowl, reserve 1 c. dry cake mix for the topping; set aside.
3. In a medium bowl, mix remaining cake mix, melted butter and 1 egg until well combined. Press in bottom of the prepared pan; set aside.
