This casserole tastes like a million bucks. It's a fantastic and economical meal to serve family and friends. It can be easily changed to your needs and likes.
Ingredients
- 16 oz. pkg. spaghetti pasta
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 4-6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
- 3 t. dried Italian seasoning, divided
- 48 oz. spaghetti sauce, divided
- 8 oz. ricotta or cottage cheese
- 8 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1/4 c. sour cream
- 3 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. butter, cut into slices, divided
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Bring a large pot of well salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
- Return pasta to pot; pour in 24 oz. spaghetti sauce; stir; set aside.
