Recreating the allegedly cursed play on the big screen, Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender are slated to star in “Macbeth” with backing from Film4.

The film adaptation is directed by Justin Kurzel and produced by UK and Australian company See-Saw Films.

According to reports, the script is a modernized version of the Shakespeare classic, while still providing the drama of the original play.

In addition to “Macbeth,” Miss Portman is scheduled to premiere “Thor: The Dark World” in November, while Fassbender is prepping for the release of the upcoming comedy drama “Frank.”
