Ingredients
21 oz. can lemon pie filling
8 oz. block cream cheese, cut into small cubes
15.25 oz. box lemon cake mix
1/2 c. (1 stick) unsalted butter, thinly sliced
optional: whipped cream, powdered sugar, lemon slices or vanilla ice cream, for serving

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease or spray a 9x13" baking dish with non-stick cooking/baking spray.
Spread the lemon pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish. Evenly dot the cubes of cream cheese over the lemon filling. Sprinkle the lemon cake mix evenly on top, DO NOT stir! Place butter slices evenly over the top of the dry cake mix.
Bake 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Serve warm or chilled, with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
