This can be your one skillet dish that is your go to meal when you are pressed for time. It is wonderfully flavorful and easy too!
3 tbl. butter or margarine
1/2 cabbage , uncooked & chopped
2/3 cu. uncooked rice (I use minute rice)
1 medium onion, chopped
2 lb. hamburger
1 large can diced tomatoes or rotel tomatoes
Salt and pepper to taste
Melt butter in skillet, layer cabbage, uncooked rice, onion, raw crumbled hamburger, salt and pepper, then tomatoes. Cover with lid and simmer 25-35 minutes until rice, cabbage and burger are done. Do not stir or lift lid until done.
