Use your crock pot to make these wonderfully delicious dessert. Serve it over ice cream and with cookies and everyone will be happy! There is very little clean-up when you use a crock pot liner!
Ingredients
- 6 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut in eight slices
- 1 T. lemon juice, fresh
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
- 2 T. flour
- 1 t. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 t. ground nutmeg
- 6 T. butter, melted
- vanilla ice cream-optional
- your choice of cookies-optional
Steps
- Place crock pot liner in a 5-6 1/2 qt. crock. Put apples in the crock pot and then drizzle with the fresh lemon juice.
- Mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a medium bowl then sprinkle the mixture over the apples, stir gently to coat apples. Drizzle with butter and then put the lid on slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 3 hours or on high for 2 hours until apples are done.
