This recipe for lasagna is so easy, you will want to add it to your weekday dinner menu. Only 7 ingredients and 4 hours in the crockpot and you are on your way to a delicious meal.
1 lb. lean ground beef, or mixture of ground beef and ground pork
lasagna noodles, uncooked
1 jar spaghetti sauce or homemade marinara sauce
1 1/2 c. cottage cheese
1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
2 T. grated Parmesan cheese
Italian spices
Brown ground meat and drain. Sprinkle Italian spices in the spaghetti sauce. Spoon 1 cup spaghetti sauce in bottom of 4 quart crock pot. Mix remaining sauce with meat.
Put a crockpot liner in the crock for easy clean up.
Place 2 uncooked lasagna noodles on sauce in crock pot. Spread 1/3 meat mixture on top of noodles.
Spread 3/4 cup cottage cheese over meat. Sprinkle 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese over cottage cheese.
Add another layer of uncooked noodles, 1/3 meat mixture, the remaining cottage cheese and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Place another layer of uncooked noodles, meat mixture, and Mozzarella cheese.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.
Cook on low for 4 hours. Don't overcook or it will become dry and hard. Serve.
