Description
Candy making is not always easy and can be time consuming. Keep an eye on these and use a digital candy thermometer and you will enjoy all of the work that you just did making these adult delicious treats.
Ingredients
- 5 T. butter
- 1 c. heavy whipping cream
- 2 oz. whiskey
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1/4 t. kosher salt
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 c. water
- about 1 T. kosher salt, for sprinkling
Steps
- Line 9x9 pan with waxed or parchment paper, then spray lightly with cooking spray.
- In 1 quart saucepan, heat butter, heavy whipping cream, whiskey, vanilla, and 1/4 teaspoon salt to boiling, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; set aside.
- In 3 quart saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat. DO NOT STIR. Boil until sugar turns a warm golden brown.
